Firefox Plugins | Link Love | Pay Per Install
Posted By: Daniel @ BloggingUnited.com on October 1, 2008 at 7:37 amHey again,
I know this is my second post today, but I just wanted to share some more gold from my pot with you all. Also it is time for Wednesday link love and Firefox plugins. But first I will start with my a little introductory to Pay Per Install.
What is Pay Per Install or PPI for short?
PPI is basically when an affiliate company pays you everytime someone installs their product through your link. Although most PPI programs include spyware/adware, such as Zango and PayPerInstall.com, there are some companies out there that simply want their toolbar to be installed on a users computer.
So what companies offer this and how do I get them?
Although I am not going to go into much detail right now, I will tell you what offers I am using. They are from Commission Junction, it is free to signup and an auto activation of your account. Anyway, the two offers that you can use are, Yahoo! toolbar for IE users and Google Adsense for Firefox users. I opted for Yahoo! as it converts better to tell you the truth. As I said I am not going into much yet as I am just trying this out, but the setup took about one hour and I have been promoting on and off for the last hour or thirty minutes. Hopefully I can show a screenshot tomorrow if it goes well.
Firefox Plugins
Alrighty, onto the Firefox plugins. These are some I had a look around for today and found useful. Some are also for Wordpress if you are creating a blog or already have one. I would just like to say at this moment, if you haven’t downloaded Firefox, “you crazy man”. Download it here and start living the good life! Ok, onto the good stuff.
Google Pagerank Toolbar
For anyone working online that likes to checkout the Pagerank of other sites without having to find a PR checker, this is vital. I actually use this a fair bit, in fact I glance up at it pretty much every page I enter. Honestly it is not something you really need, but if you’re lazy and look at the PR of a lot of sites, it is good to have. Download below

Alexa Rank Sparky
Just like the Google toolbar, this is not necessary when working online. It is cool to see how high the rank of a particular site is, but Alexa is pretty inaccurate. It does however allow quick access to a lot of there options without having to go to the main site. I would say this one is more for the fun of it then anything, but can also tell the difference between a new site and an older more accomplished one.

A Coder’s Dream
No, that is not the name of the plugin, but honestly that is what I would call it
. The name of this plugin is actually “IE tabs”. What does it do? It allows you to check out how a site looks in both Firefox and IE without having to open both. You simply open Firefox, click the little logo icon in the bottom right had corner and presto! Your browser has now switched to IE yet you are still in the cool Firefox layout. Why is this good? Well, my IE had an odd problem today that it didn’t actually work. Anyways, I tried the plugin and it got IE working and it really does work well. Thank whoever made this great plugin!

Wordpress Plugins
Just a couple of Wordpress plugins I recommend. Not all of them are all that wonderful, but they do make blogging easier and more fun. Hope you like them, onward we go lads!
Subscribe Remind
A cool little plugin that posts a message at the bottom of each post reminding the user to download subscribe. Sure it gets annoying after a while, but if you subscribe the problem is gone
.

All In One SEO Pack
Pretty self explanatory, but it is a package that allows you to automatically have your blog optimized for search engines. Pretty good considering you give the chance to rank higher for doing nothing but uploading and installing it. Give it a try if you like.

Hi mate, I hope your new PPI method goes well, looks like it might from what you’ve written. I also wanted to say that the plugins you included are awesome too. Some interesting posts you linked to, looks like I have a few more sites to visit now.

The PPI method hasn’t started all that well, made a little bit but not a lot. I am still working on it though, hopefully it can start picking up a bit. Anyway, I just need to concentrate on sticking to on thing for now. I am starting to trail off a little and become unfocused on particular methods.
